Export Logistics Coordinator

When you join our team as a Export Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination of vessel bookings to mill production and sales. This role requires in-office attendance at our Metrotown Corporate Office 4-days a week.
What You'll Do
- Liaise between the export sales department, mill shippers and external shipping companies to ensure smooth flow of the export shipping process.
- Monitor inventory levels at stuffing facilities to ensure product is moving in a timely manner.
- Coordinate bookings and shipments with documentation specialists for Letter of Credit customers.
- Communicate with carriers and freight forwarders on booking amendments.
- Update sales, shipping and documentation with booking details.
- Update booking details on export orders in sales system.
- Maintain the sales system with updated vessel, port and booking information.
- Assist in determining internal allocation of vessel space when limited.
- Coordinate, enter and maintain mill transfer order file to accurately reflect allocation volumes.
- Communicate inventory/order file status to the sales department to facilitate customer follow-up.
- Produce weekly reports on LC status, projected shipments and booked volume.
- Process logistics related invoices for payment.
What You Offer
- Previous export logistics experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in lumber production, shipping or sales coordination.
- University degree or diploma in related field preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience with LumberTrack software an asset.
- Able to communicate clear and concise information in an accurate and informative manner.
- Ability to meet and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Maintain effective communication with internal customers, carriers and stuffing facilities.

What We Offer
Interfor has posted the following expected salary range that the company believes in good faith could be offered to successful candidates. The salary offered is benchmarked to current market conditions and will also be based on numerous factors which can include work experience, skills, credentials, education, and other relevant factors. In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a competitive benefits package and be able to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Bonus plan, with the payout amount subject to individual and corporate performance. If you have any questions regarding our salary range or our total compensation package, our recruitment team will be happy to advise you on what you can expect from us.
Expected range: $63,000 – $70,000 per year
