About The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Material Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with various departments such as reliability, engineering, operations, maintenance, supply management and the warehouse to ensure efficient flow of all materials. The Material Coordinator role is imperative to ensure that all materials in Bitumen Production are accounted for and effectively and efficiently managed. This role will assist in improving schedule compliance and reducing procurement issues by creating a single point of contact for procurement issues and creation of BP item masters. This is a 4 Days On and 3 Days Off, fly in fly out position located at our CNRL Horizon Project Site.

As a Material Coordinator at Graham, you will:

- Be the primary point of contact for material procurement issues and creation of BP item masters for all groups within Bitumen Production.
- Create and review job cost reports for inconsistencies, such as material mischarges.
- Ensure all material is received and stored with proper care and preservation.
- Ensure all material certificate requirements are specified at time of item master creation to align with CNRL standards.
- Maintain BOM accuracy for all assets in Bitumen Production.
- Request ROP and ROQ changes to avoid stock out situations as well as opportunities to reduce stock carried in the warehouse.
- Keep track of material to ensure maintenance schedule compliance.
- Conduct weekly review of repairable item report to ensure repairable stock is available when needed.

Qualifications/Experience:

- Journeyperson ticket in one of the relevant trades (Electrical, Instrumentation, Steamfitter/Pipefitter, Millwright, or Welding).
- Experience with Maximo or similar systems is an asset.
- Champion creation of BP Item Masters for all Departments within Bitumen Production.
- Work with business unit departments for optimum BOMs.
- Develop consistent and asset structure/hierarchy for Maximo assets/locations.
- Creation and review of job cost reports for inconsistencies, such as material mischarges.
- Ability to listen to client concerns and provide requisite solutions.
- Proficiency in procurement processes.
- Strong analytical skills and high competency with supplier selection and evaluation.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight and demanding deadlines.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Relevant product and subcontract market knowledge.
- Proficiency using a computer and Microsoft Office.
- Able to travel when required and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract. This position will require the candidate to drive a vehicle on behalf of the Company and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver's abstract for review.

Responsibilities Health, & Safety

- Ensure accuracy and adequacy of new equipment and materials descriptions.
- Request new Safety Data Sheets for entry on new equipment and material storage on site.
- Be responsible for your own safety.
- Support Operations/Maintenance to correct/improve unsafe conditions or initiate corrective action.
- Actively participate in monthly safety meetings.
- Submit safety suggestions and work towards solutions.
- Always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Work with process safety and operations to correctly identify safety critical Maximo assets.

Accountability

- Ensure that the Maximo data entry and creation processes are maintained and consistent throughout BP.
- Ensure the information in Maximo adheres to the MOC standard as required.
- Ensure that all assets have been flagged as Safety Critical (SCE) as identified with process safety.
- Ensure that the supporting documentation and vendor information is up to date and valid on all change requests.
- Ensure that all assets and equipment are field verified by data entry personnel or competent designate.

- Continually improve Maximo data entry and change request processes.
- Collaborate with the multi-discipline work team to achieve the results desired by the Business Unit.

- Ensure weekly team reports are constructive and meet the desired output to communicate to the business units.

- Complete assigned actions from meetings on or before the completion date.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and show up prepared with supporting information and documents for meetings.
- Propose a recommended solution with each raised concern and anticipate problems, taking preventative actions.

- Be open to different points of view and approaches to doing things, seeking to understand and value others' perspectives.
- Work jointly with Planners, Schedulers, Maintenance, Operations, Reliability, and Asset Integrity to identify and drive solutions that will lead to improved performance.
