About the role

The Finance Analyst reports to the Finance Manager and is responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring annual operating budgets, preparation & reconciliation of year‑end working papers and annual regulatory reporting, maintaining capital lien and various other revenue generating programs & applications, and other duties as assigned, such as policy & procedure reviews, special projects initiatives, operational assistance and backup role to the Finance Manager.

This is a permanent full‑time position.

Salary Range

Range 7: $78,332‑$93,112

- Ability to be senior member of and at times lead a Finance department

Education & experience required

- Bachelor degree in Business/Commerce and completion of a recognized professional accounting designation;

- Minimum five years experience in budgeting, accounting cycle and reporting;

- Demonstrated project management experience;

- Strong ability to self‑direct and work effectively in a team environment;

- Strong technical computer skills including the ability to operate accounting software;

- Previous experience in municipal government, an asset.
