Position Overview: We are seeking an exceptional Manager of Data Engineering to lead our talented team of data engineers in delivering innovative data solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in cloud data technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive the design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions while providing leadership and guidance to our team of data engineers.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the successful delivery of client projects.
- Collaborate closely with our consulting and sales teams to understand client requirements and develop tailored data solutions that address their specific needs.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Implement best practices for data management, including data governance, security, and compliance, to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of client data.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud data technologies, staying abreast of the latest advancements and industry trends to drive innovation in our solutions.
- Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and track progress against key milestones to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the data engineering team and across the organization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a data engineering role, with a track record of successfully delivering data solutions on cloud platforms.
- 2+ years in a leadership capacity
- Strong expertise in cloud data technologies such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), GCP (Google Cloud Platform), or Azure (Microsoft Azure).
- Experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, or similar technologies.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive consensus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet client needs.
- Experience working in a consulting or client-facing role is a plus.
