We’re a technology company that leads with our humanity—driving our business priorities alongside meaningful social, community, and societal impact.**How You Will Contribute:*** Manage and track lab equipment and materials using the GEMS Oracle database inventory control system.* Receive and verify delivered supplies, materials, and telecommunication equipment against purchase order specifications.* Coordinate equipment and material shipments, including marshalling, scanning, and logistics documentation.* Maintain organization in the lab, stockroom, and receiving areas to ensure efficient storage and handling.* Implement and oversee labeling systems for lab equipment and locations.* Conduct periodic physical inventory scans and address noncompliance reports.* Collaborate with lab teams on moves, deployments, and decommissioning of lab systems while adhering to established operating processes and policies.**The Must Haves:*** Minimum of 3+ years of experience in inventory management or a related field.* Proficiency in using inventory control systems like Oracle GEMS.* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.* Familiarity with JIRA tracking systems for inventory request management.**Pay Range:**The salary range for this role in Ottawa is $50, 700 - $80, 900Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
