React/.NET Software Developer

We are assisting our financial industry client in hiring a React/.NET Software Developer for a 6-month contract role. The successful candidate will contribute their expertise to enhance existing platforms and develop new capabilities, collaborating with a global, dynamic, and agile project team.

As a key member of the development lifecycle, you will participate in requirements analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and support phases, focusing on integration, automation, and delivering solutions aligned with defined roadmaps.

Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and deploy code as part of a distributed development team.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
- Integrate capabilities into production environments while managing technical dependencies (infrastructure, security, etc.).
- Collaborate across teams within Business Technology Solutions to support integration, share knowledge, and shape technology roadmaps.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

- Proficiency with modern JavaScript libraries (React is essential).
- Experience with source code management tools (Git) and continuous testing/delivery practices.
- Strong understanding of industry standards, best practices, and Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft development stacks, including:
- .NET, C#, Web API
- Entity Framework
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Azure, NoSQL).
- Knowledge of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud infrastructure and services (API Manager, REST services, Storage).
- Experience managing product backlogs with Azure DevOps.
- Background in reinsurance or Commercial/Specialty Insurance (bonus).
