Role Overview
As the Project Systems Analyst Co-op, you’ll play a key role in bringing Durwest’s project data to life.
You’ll help transform siloed information into clear, consistent insights that support smarter, faster decision‑making across the entire business.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll experiment with digital tools, build dashboards, clean and standardise data, and help staff adopt new tech. If you’re energized by improving processes, enabling better reporting, and building tools that actually get used, this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Data + Reporting
- Work with leadership to identify important project and operational metrics.
- Build, test, and iterate dashboards and reports (PowerBI is the primary tool).
- Connect and standardise data from systems like Procore, Monday.com, BambooHR, and others.
- Ensure data quality through cleanup, validation, and consistent data practices.
Digital Tools + Process Improvement
- Explore and evaluate digital tools that improve project performance or workflow efficiency.
- Help pilot new systems or features: set them up, test them, and gather feedback.
- Develop simple, clear SOPs, guides, and “how‑to” resources to support adoption.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work with every department: Operations, Project Management, Corporate Services, Business Development, Finance and leadership.
- Translate user needs into digital solutions and reporting improvements.
- Support staff onboarding to new tools through training, troubleshooting, and friendly guidance.
Innovation + Ownership
- Spot data gaps, inefficiencies, or reporting opportunities and propose solutions.Bring energy, curiosity, and a problem‑solver mindset to a team that’s excited to modernise.
What You Bring
Core Skills
- Strong technical aptitude; quick to learn new systems and tools.
- Solid analytical abilities; you enjoy working with numbers, logic, and structured problem‑solving.
- Comfortable with data cleanup, basic modelling, and producing clear insights.
- Process‑minded; you like creating order, structure, and clarity out of messy or inconsistent information.
Nice‑to‑Have Technical Skills
- Experience with any data visualisation tool (Power BI preferred)
- Excel (intermediate or advanced)
- Experience with or interest in tools like Procore, Monday.com, BambooHR, or other SaaS platforms
- Familiarity with workflow tools (notion, miro, smartsheet) or simple automation tools
- Bonus: any exposure to Python, SQL, or AI tools not required, but an advantage
