Toronto, Canada Saint Elizabeth Full time

Overview

We/'re currently hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Overnight Shift Nurses (RN and RPN) to support our pediatric and palliative programs. Our Nurses Sleep Better. We help you sleep easy with a supportive team, flexible schedules, paid training, and competitive pay Great benefits and a team that supports your goals.

Joining SE Health was the best career decision I/'ve ever made. The people are really nice, and I was free to pick up my children after school every day. I/'ve also had many opportunities to grow and practice to my full scope. Mary, 20 years at SE Health.

We are seeking dynamic, passionate Nurses, who want to be part of the transformational change in home and community care by providing care in a truly client-centered approach.

SE Health is proud to partner with CHEO to provide care and support to children and families who need home and community care services. The Pediatric Nurse is an important member of the child/'s care team and will make a meaningful difference in the life of a child.

SE Health also provides palliative care services that support both the individual facing a life-threatening illness and his/her family. Improving the quality of life is a key focus of the care that is delivered by our team of nurses working with other professionals within the health care system (personal support workers, physicians, chaplains, therapists, hospice volunteers, etc). Recognizing that individuals living with illness are also faced with many needs, our staff is able to integrate the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual aspects of care to assist those coping with their situation. Our community-based palliative care team offers a support system to help people live as actively as possible until death and to assist families during the person/'s illness and during bereavement.

Responsibilities

- Complete comprehensive client assessments, develop care plans, implement and evaluate care based on best evidence/practices and on client/'s unique needs.
- When designated as a primary provider for a client caseload, you will be the point of care lead accountable for their care while working in collaboration with other care team members and the support functions.
- Support the client through care transitions by collaborating and connecting the client with community support services in their local community.

There are many reasons why you will want to bring your talent to our team:

- Competitive Compensation. Our Total Rewards package includes a competitive salary, group benefits, RRSP pension, on demand pay and exclusive perks/discounts available only to SE Health staff.
- Develop yourself with SE. We have education bursaries, Tuition Assistance Programs, continuing education, training, and professional development to support your life-long learning.
