Join our small but passionate kitchen team, where every member plays an important role in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As an Evening Line Cook with supervisory responsibilities, you’ll work hands-on on the line while guiding the team, managing workloads, and ensuring smooth service in the absence of the Head Chef. We’re looking for someone who embraces a “one team, one dream” mentality, embracing a collaborative, hands-on leadership style, leads by example, and contributes positively to a respectful and supportive team environment.
About the Role
Our kitchen prepares a wide range of dishes for both in-house restaurant guests and room service patrons. In this role, you’ll demonstrate your love for food by preparing meals efficiently and creatively, while supporting and mentoring the team to maintain consistency and quality during service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook all menu items following recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
- Set up and maintain your station according to restaurant guidelines.
- Ensure timely and safe production of all dishes while restocking supplies as needed.
- Handle special dietary requests, including allergies and intolerances, with care.
- Supervise and support the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef, guiding workflow and coordinating tasks to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in training new team members and maintaining high standards across the line.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in all kitchen and storage areas.
- Work safely, adhering to health and safety policies, and report hazards or injuries promptly.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional kitchen culture.
Skills and Experience
- Proven line cook experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong communication skills in English (oral and written).
- Physically able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude, leading by example while working alongside the team.
- Flexible, adaptable, and committed to learning and improving.
