We're currently on the lookout for a Senior Designer to join a creative agency that focused on social causes and community engagement.
In this role, you'll develop and oversee creative solutions that meet diverse client needs. This is a hands-on position, meaning you’ll be actively involved in crafting concepts for editorial, communications and ad campaigns, from initial ideas to final execution. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of visual communication, graphic design principles, and layout techniques.
If you enjoy bringing multi-channel communications campaigns to life, whether print, web, social, or video, you’ll find this role exciting. You have the ability to take a concept from brainstorming to production-ready assets seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative concepts and oversee execution from ideation to final delivery
- Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics, and adapt stock imagery when needed
- Apply core typography and layout techniques to enhance visual storytelling
- Generate and refine ideas for digital, social, web, and print
- Ensure brand consistency across all creative materials
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet project deadlines
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas and approaches
- Prioritize tasks, manage shifting deadlines, and work efficiently under tight timelines
- Be receptive to constructive feedback and iterate accordingly
- Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices
- Track and manage project time effectively
Qualifications
- College or university diploma in design, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of proven experience in a creative role with hands on technical skills using Adobe Creative Suite and other tools as required
- A portfolio showcasing a range of work, with particular expertise in editorial design and layout
- Strong integrated design and production skills are a must
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work with tight timelines, remaining calm under pressure
- Receptive to feedback with ability to apply client input into designs
- Collaborative and interested in bringing input and ideas to the table
