Overview

Our client is working to implement their software, an EMR agnostic end-to-end e-prescribing service that enables prescribers (physicians and nurse practitioners) to electronically transmit a prescription from their EMR directly to a patient's pharmacy of choice. This service is reducing the use of paper and faxed based prescriptions, enhancing patient safety and improving continuity of care, facilitating better health outcomes for Canadians.

Position Summary

The Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist – Prescriber Relations & Deployment will be individually responsible for growing the number of prescribers using our client's software. Key accountabilities include driving enrollments, deployments and utilization of this software with physicians and nurse practitioners across the province. In doing so, you will lead the prescriber through many components of the customer journey, including prospecting, engagement, overcoming objections, contracting and deployment of the software. This cycle will be repeated at an individual community/regional practice level with hundreds of prescribers, with the successful candidate becoming a key contributor to the department's annual targets.

Responsibilities

- Outbound/Inbound Sales – market the benefits, no cost, and use of our client's software to the provincial/regional communities to prospect and develop new prescriber/clinic leads
- Execute on a provincial/regional plan of prescriber/clinic leads and complete site deployment activities including on-site meetings, compliance activities i.e. ID validations, etc.
- Achieving weekly targets – prescriber enrollment, deployment and utilization of our client's software
- Work closely with our client's software deployment team (internal and external) to ensure deployment commitments are successfully met
- Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM) to track lead generation, pipeline management, forecasting and lost opportunity tracking with accurate notes in the system

Basic Requirements

- Undergraduate Degree in Sales/Health/Marketing
- Minimum 2 years of community physician sales experience; proven track record of direct sales success
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of community physician digital health solutions (EMR) and clinic operations
- Ability to travel to physician offices in territory/region
- Bilingualism is an asset
