Salary Scale: CAD $41.25 - $51.59 per hour (2025 SH06) Job Description Sinai Health is looking for a Clinical Performance Analyst to support the Performance Measurement and Reporting (PMR) Department. The CPA is responsible for the data extraction, analysis, and reporting of performance data across both campuses to support evidence-based decision making and to advance the operational and strategic goals of Sinai Health. Data will include but not be limited to operational data around occupancy, turnaround times, utilization; clinical data, clinical profiles and clinical utilization; and a certain amount of financial data as it relates to funded volumes and case costing. This role will work with PMR colleagues, Health Records Services, Coding, Admitting, Finance and Information Services to support internal and external submissions and reporting requirements. The CPA reports to the Manager, Performance, and works closely with the consultants on the team, who are the main contacts for the clinical programs and other departments. In this role you will - Load, extract and analyze clinical and operational data from various hospital databases to fulfill reporting requirements, monitor performance and support organizational goals - Produce and update reports, prepare submissions for external reporting, perform reconciliations across multiple data sources, create dashboards and provide analytic summaries - Support hospital case costing through the loading and publishing of data, performance of data quality reviews, and reporting and interpretation of case costing data - Proactively identify opportunities to implement processes to improve data quality and update processes to increase efficiency and turnaround time - Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for all tasks - Monitor Sinai Health’s compliance with existing and emerging submission and reporting requirements - Protect privacy and maintain the confidentiality and security of all information related to patients, staff and the business of Sinai Health - Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required Job Requirements Mandatory - Bachelor’s degree in health care or a related discipline - 1 year of experience in a relevant field Preferred - Canadian Health Information Management Certificate (CHIMA) - Working knowledge of Cerner Health Information system, Meditech, Med 2020 Coding/Abstracting system (Winrecs – DAD, NACRS, OMHRS, NRS, CCRS databases) or related software Skills and Knowledge - Understanding and application of provincial and national case mix methodologies (HIG, CMG+, CACS, SCIPP, RUG, RPG) - General math, statistics and intermediate computer skills. High proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel - Awareness of Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS) and Ontario Case Costing (OCC) standards - Knowledge and skills in report writing (i.e. Crystal, SAS, SQL, Power BI) - Understanding of Balanced Scorecard concepts including target setting and benchmarking - Effective communication skills, strong analytical competency, commitment to teamwork - Must be well organized and able to demonstrate high productivity and accuracy with attention to detail - Able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment, and exercise tact and discretion with good judgment and problem-solving skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize competing workload demands If this sounds like you and you feel ready to build your career within health care analytics, apply now and let us know why you’d be a great addition to our team.
