Are you seeking a rewarding opportunity to drive in the breathtaking community of Jasper? Join our team as a casual Transit Driver and be responsible for safely transporting passengers while providing superior customer service
Safely transport passengers while providing superior customer service and demonstrating strong communication skills, patience, maturity, and initiative. This is a contract position with the possibility to extend.
Knowledge and
Experience:
- Valid Class 1 or 2S driver’s license
- Clear driver's abstract
- Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check
- Strong knowledge of the Jasper roadways
- Physical ability to push/pull wheelchairs up and down a ramp or onto lift
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, patience, maturity, and initiative
- Organized, punctual, and reliable
- Calm, upbeat, and helpful manner
- Excellent driving skills and habits Key Accountabilities:
- Transport passengers safely and according to established policy
- Operate the shuttle vehicles in a safe manner in all-weather/road conditions
- Provide information to and assist passengers in a courteous manner
- Manage passenger behavior by quickly and effectively solving problems Vehicle Operations and Maintenance
- Conduct pre-and-post trip checks of vehicles prior to/after their use
- Report vehicle maintenance issues Communication and Reporting
- Maintain radio contact with base and use proper communications protocol
- Report passenger emergencies and schedule concerns
- Complete various forms of paperwork, as required
- Assist with driver coverage by driving the shuttle bus Hourly Rate: $28 to start, then $30 after 3 months’ probation About Keolis: Keolis provides mobility to over 3.4 billion passengers annually across 15 countries, operating everything from commuter trains and automated metros to shared bicycles. Experience:
