On behalf of our well-established wealth management client, TEEMA is seeking a Financial Planner for their Abbotsford, BC office. We are looking for an experienced CFP professional to join the team as a client servicing financial planner. This role is all about helping existing clients navigate complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence.

This role is not about sales, quotas or targets, but you should appreciate why growth matters in a firm like theirs. They handle business development so that the servicing advisors can focus entirely on delivering exceptional planning outcomes and client care.
Our client does meaningful work. Whether it's retirement planning, tax-efficient strategies, or helping clients give generously to causes they care about, their impact is real. On average they have about 40+ inbound requests from qualified pre-retirees looking for help. They need your help helping them They are captivated by the idea of helping more people get answers to their planning questions. And so, while they are an established practice, they have a vision to add capacity and capability in ways that will allow them to help even more people. They work in teams. Every client is served by two planners, ensuring no one carries the load alone, with the full support of a strong administrative team.
What You'll Do
You'll work closely with different members of the Planning team, collaborating together to serve their full-service financial planning clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying planning opportunities and clearly communicating recommendations
- Drafting meeting agendas and executing all necessary follow-ups
- Facilitating and eventually leading client meetings
- Handling client questions via email or video responses
- Running proforma tax returns to evaluate different tax-efficient retirement and charitable giving strategies
- Compiling tax packages and assisting with tax-efficient decumulation plans
- Supporting the in-house CPA on transactional, fee-for-service planning cases
- Onboarding new clients
What You'll Need
- CFP designation (essential)
- 4+ years of experience in financial planning, in a client-facing role
- Experience with Snap Projections or similar financial planning software is a major asset
- A strong grasp of retirement income planning, tax-efficient withdrawals, and investment strategy and integration of these areas
- The ability to take complex financial ideas and make them simple for clients
- A client-first, high-output work ethic—someone who thrives on doing great work at a high level
