Expression of Interest - Sessional Instructors, Science

Employment opportunity number: 25.124

Department: School of Science

Salary: $5750-$6500 stipend per 3-credit course

Term: January 2026 – April 2026

Campus: Whitehorse, Ayamdigut

Closing date: October 27, 2025

Responsibilities

- Teach courses in the School of Science during the Winter 2026 semester on a casual basis.

- Deliver course content, assess student work, and provide feedback as appropriate for the assigned course(s).

- Collaborate with program staff as needed and adhere to Yukon University teaching guidelines.

Qualifications

- Minimum: Master of Science (M.Sc.) in a relevant discipline; Ph.D. preferred.

- Prior post-secondary teaching experience is an asset.

- Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to engage students in a remote or in-person setting as required.

Courses (illustrative)

AREC 365: Natural Resource and Environmental Economics. Other courses may become available.
