Overview
The Agile Project Manager applies professional principles, practices and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedules, budgets, cost and performance risks to ensure satisfied stakeholders. This role has ultimate responsibility for all assigned projects and manages customer satisfaction, definition, planning, monitoring and other aspects of a project.
Reporting to the Director, Business Transformation Office you will possess the following key skills that combine your leadership presence and business knowledge:
Qualifications
- PMP certification is required
- Agile project management certification is a strong asset, or experience on Agile projects
- CIP designation or insurance industry experience is considered an asset
- Insurance enterprise software knowledge and experience is an asset
- 5+ years of project management experience on multiple medium to large sized projects
- Advanced experience and understanding of project management methodologies and quality assurance processes and practices
- Able to plan and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Stand Ups, Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement and Story Refinement
- Skillful facilitation of Retrospectives and the ability to apply learning
- An agent for Agile progress in our organization
- Experience in coaching and developing people
- Oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid creative thinking and problem-solving skills and experience required
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent is an asset
- Diligent attention to detail is essential due to the nature of the work
- Sound ethics and confidentiality with good customer service skills
- Ability to multi task and prioritize is a must
- Strong relationship building skills to work with multiple stakeholders across various business units
Location & Compensation
This is a permanent role located in Whitby, ON with an annual salary of $90,000.00 – $98,000.00 plus benefits.
