If you are looking to advance your leadership career, this position may be for you Recovery Alberta has an exciting 8-1A/ 8-1B Unit Manager opportunity at Alberta Hospital Edmonton This role works closely with a very welcoming interdisciplinary team (made up of 2 AHN, psychiatrists, allied health, behavior specialist, clinical nurse educator, clinical supervisor, social work, dietitian, nursing, psych aides and unit clerk.) and dynamic leadership group. This role requires good organizational skills for daily operations including bed flow management, recruitment management, financial acuity, performance management and HR expertise. You bring with you your team building skills, leadership, mentorship, patient centered focus, quality improvement, relationship building, attention to detail, enthusiasm, teamwork ability, and positivity. Reporting to the program manager for residential and rehab services within Recovery Alberta at Alberta Hospital Edmonton, This unit manager position oversees 76 staff for units 8-1a and 8-1b housing 23 and 25 beds respectively. This role supports patients on their personal journey to wellness in a rehab setting who may need intensive supports for community transitions. Services will be provided to adults and their families or guardians. Providing each individual with a recovery care plan based on their needs and goals. Focus is on individuals displaying capacity to benefit from services evidence based by rehabilitation readiness. Tertiary rehabilitation is transitional and exists along a continuum of care. Clients may be voluntary or involuntary under the mental health act, there is preference to voluntary. Active registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to build confidence in others. Effective teamwork, conflict resolution, change and resource management skills. The individual requires the ability to integrate and apply clinical excellence in the day-to-day operations of the department. Maintained BLS. Skills in WFM, E-People, E-Manager, MarkView, I-Expense, RMS, RLS, and MSN platforms are preferred. 2 years of leadership experience in a unionized health care facility.
