Position #: 166896Expected Start Date: January 07, 2026Union: HSASFacility: Kindersley Health CentreCity/Town: KindersleyDepartment: Ambulance - LandType: Part-time temporaryExpected Up to Date: January 06, 2027FTE: 0.75Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, StandbyHours of Work: 168 hours per 6 weeksRelief: NoFloat: NoField Hours: NoSalary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572Travel Required: NoJob Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events. and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards.Human Resources Exemption: NoEducation Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute Licenses Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) Competencies Listening skills Written Communication Skills Verbal communication skills Interpersonal skills Basic - Computer skills Conflict resolution skills Knowledge and Abilities Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System. Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing conditions Able to safely and consistently lift/load stretcher on a regular basis knowledge of legislation and regulations which governs practice Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Other Information Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
