Overview

We’re looking for a seasoned Manager, Finance to oversee financial operations for an international marine transportation group with entities in Canada and Singapore. This is a key leadership role responsible for financial strategy, reporting, compliance, and performance management across multiple jurisdictions.

What you will be doing

- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across multiple entities

- Oversee statutory filings, regulatory compliance, and audited financial statements in Canada and Singapore

- Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting

- Provide financial modeling support for major decisions, including new vessels, divestments, and financing

- Oversee treasury functions such as cash management, internal borrowing, and working capital optimization

- Strengthen internal controls and ensure SOX compliance

- Manage relationships with joint venture partners and uphold shareholder agreements

- Support finance system enhancements, process improvements, and change management initiatives

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team

- Partner with cross-functional leaders to support organizational strategy and continuous improvement

What you must have

- Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- CPA (or equivalent) designation

- 10+ years of post-designation accounting/finance experience

- Strong leadership background with team and stakeholder management experience

- Expertise with ERP systems and multi-currency environments

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

- Strong technical accounting skills (IFRS experience is an asset)

- Experience with financial reporting for multi-entity structures

- Demonstrated ability to influence, lead through change, and drive continuous improvement

Salary/Rate Range

$140,000 – $170,000 / annually CAD
