We are looking for an experienced Social Media Marketing Specialist with a passion for curating incredible content and building engaged communities to join us full-time in our downtown Vancouver office. You'll play a key role in developing and executing the organic social media strategy for our portfolio of brands, working with internal teams and external partners to plan and source content that elevates the brand and engages key audiences across our organic platforms.

Equal parts creative and data-driven, you have your finger on the pulse, a keen eye for social media trends and a strong understanding of channel analytics, with the goal to garner brand awareness and community engagement. As an adept project manager, you have an ability to manage multiple channels at once, while being cognizant of overarching marketing and business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Growth Marketing Manager in the development and execution of the Discover Holidays organic social media strategy
- Manage the day-to-day planning and execution of our social media content across all channels
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to execute strategy in alignment with broader marketing and business objectives
- Create compelling and engaging content and captions, optimized for each channel
- Set and measure KPI's for each channel, re-evaluating at a regular cadence
- Leverage data and performance insights to optimize your strategy and set goals
- Ensure brand guidelines are consistently maintained including content pillars, tone of voice and aesthetic
- Collaborate with the Performance Marketing Manager on content for paid social channels
- Stay up to date with social media best practices, channel innovation, industry trends and competitor content to identify new opportunities

Skills + Experience:

- Relevant educational background (marketing, communications) or equivalent professional experience in social media marketing (travel industry or agency experience a plus)
- 2-3 years of experience in a social media marketing role (we'd love to see a portfolio)
- Experience with social media management tools and platforms (i.e. Hootsuite) required
- A deep understanding of DTC marketing, ideally with travel, retail, or lifestyle products
- Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest
- Strong understanding of social media analytics, KPIs, and reporting
- Experience with graphic design, video production, or multimedia content creation is a plus
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- An ability to work collaboratively and autonomously
