As a Principal PIC Design Engineer at Photonic, your extensive experience in silicon photonics will be crucial. This full-time position calls for at least 10 years of proven expertise and deep knowledge of tools like Python and Lumerical. Collaborate with a diversity of engineers and scientists to optimize photonic integrated circuits and push the envelope in quantum technology.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and optimize large-scale silicon photonic integrated circuits
• Collaborate with manufacturers and foundries
• Analyze experiments to refine designs
• Present findings to cross-functional teams
• Mentor junior engineers in best practices
Requirements:
• Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering or applied physics
• 10+ years of experience in silicon photonics
• Proficiency in design tools like KLayout or Cadence
• Knowledge of electromagnetic simulation methods
