Job Title: Tech Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Hub Project Manager to lead and oversee the implementation of a scalable data hub built on the Azure stack, leveraging Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Gen2. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in data engineering, cloud data platforms, and project management, ensuring the successful delivery of data-driven solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end project execution for the Azure-based Data Hub, from planning to deployment.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Oversee data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration using Azure Databricks, ADF, and ADLS Gen2.
- Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with governance and security standards.
- Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and ensure data solutions align with enterprise needs.
- Monitor project risks, costs, and resource allocation to drive efficiency and scalability.
- Drive automation, optimization, and best practices in data pipeline development.

Requirements

- 12+ years of experience in project management within cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Data Services (Databricks, ADF, ADLS Gen2, Synapse).
- Experience managing data engineering and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- PMP and/or Agile certification is a plus.

Additional Expectations

In addition to standard Scrum Master / Project Manager responsibilities, the ideal candidate should also:

- Have Azure/Cloud technologies/engineering acumen, as they will be leading cloud architects/engineers.
- Be able to collaborate with the team to understand requirements and technical challenges, break down work, and lead teams to achieve business outcomes.
- Support troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to cloud environments when required.
- Connect concepts, ideas, and dependencies, both from a work management and technical perspective.
- Provide recommendations on how to approach and complete outcomes/deliverables.
