Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions**JOIN A GROWING INDUSTRY**In the Edmonton region we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku.We offer various shifts: * Rotating Day Shift (continental)* Monday to Thursday Nightshift* Weekend Nightshift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)**Overview**The Electrical Assembler will be responsible for conducting assembly of power and control backplates, component mounting, prefabrication of devices, and operation of label printers. Time spent in this role will also serve to determine suitability for prospective enrollment in the Electrical trade program.**Roles & Responsibilities*** Read basic blueprints and assemble backplates to match prints.* Utilize software and printers to print and install labels.* Maintain tools and equipment.* Ensure quality of the product* Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code* Demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and enthusiastic interest in pursuing electrical trade* Other duties as required**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities*** Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.* Effective communication skills.* Time management skills.* Critical eye for identifying defects.* Ability to manage change on the floor and work well with shift supervisors* Proficiency with Microsoft Office* Strong work ethic and positive team attitude* Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes.* Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.* Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.* Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 40 pounds.* Must be able to read a tape measure and perform simple mathematical fractional equations.* Ability to read blueprints is considered an asset**Working Conditions*** Commercial/Industrial environment.* Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools.* Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.* Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).* Long periods of standing.* Overtime as required.**Contacts*** Communication is internal to the assigned work team, Quality Supervisor, and Engineering and Production teamsJohnson Controls’ Canadian subsidiaries are committed to providing reasonable accommodation to applicants, candidates and employees with disabilities, in accordance with applicable human rights legislation, and in Ontario, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (“AODA”).
