Junior Project Manager – Residential Construction

Salary: $65,000–$75,000/year + benefits

We’re Powell Contracting, a North Vancouver-based construction company specializing in high-quality residential renovations and custom builds across the North Shore and Vancouver. We’re looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in residential construction coordination and wants to take the next step toward managing projects with more ownership and responsibility. You’ll work closely with the managing director and the office team to plan, organize, and execute projects smoothly from start to finish.What You’ll Do

- Support multiple residential renovation and build projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Communicate regularly with the managing director, site leads, trades, and suppliers to keep information flowing and decisions moving.
- Coordinate material orders, deliveries, and subcontractor schedules to maintain project momentum.
- Track budgets, prepare change orders, and assist with cost control and forecasting.
- Attend site meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items.
- Identify potential issues early, propose solutions, and collaborate with the team to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit requirements, and BC Building Code.

What We’re Looking For

- Minimum 4 years of experience in residential construction or project coordination.
- Strong communication and organization skills. You keep everyone informed and follow through.
- Detail-oriented and proactive. You anticipate what’s next, not just react.
- Familiar with construction drawings, budgets, and scheduling tools.
- Experience with BC residential construction, including BC Building Code and permitting, is a must (knowledge from other provinces or countries is great, but this role requires hands-on familiarity with local codes and practices)..
- A positive, team-oriented attitude. You’re eager to grow and take direction while contributing ideas.
- Valid driver’s license.
