The Falcon Group of Companies is a dynamic and growing organization with a diverse portfolio that includes Falcon Contracting Ltd. (Civil Construction & General Contracting) and Falcon Camp Services Inc. (Turn-Key Camps & Catering). We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team in Prince George, BC.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle for one or more corporate entities.
- Prepare and process accounts receivable invoices (inter-company and third-party billings).
- Monitor AR activity and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts payable; including data entry, supplier reconciliations, and payment processing.
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations, supplier account reconciliations, and inter-company account reconciliations.
- Maintain and track fixed assets; calculate and record amortization and depreciation.
- Prepare and file GST, PST, payroll, and other tax remittances accurately and on time.
- Process bi-weekly payroll.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes including financial reporting.
- Prepare year-end working papers for internal review and coordinate with external accountants to ensure timely completion of annual financial statements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis to support job estimating and project tracking.
- Provide general office administration and reception support as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience.
- Experience in construction, forestry, or industrial services preferred.
- Post-secondary accounting education; CPA, CGA, or CA designation is an asset but not required.
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Accounting software, Excel, and Office 365.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with team members across departments as needed.
