What you'll do:
The Pilot Success Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the execution of more complex and larger-scale pilot projects and Proof of Concept (PoC) stages for both new opportunities and existing customer expansions, including overseeing onsite product installations. This role demands advanced relationship management with partners and customers, as well as exceptional communication and organizational skills. It requires a deep understanding of the company's products and solutions, and the ability to evaluate business objectives to recommend relevant business solutions. Key responsibilities include enhancing project reporting and analysis, autonomously making critical project decisions, and serving as a subject matter expert within the organization and mentoring junior team members.
How you'll make an impact
- Manage complex pilot projects tasks from initiation through to completion, ensuring they meet or exceed predefined success criteria.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with Customer Project Managers, Solutions Engineering, Business Development, and Signature Accounts teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of pilot projects with broader business objectives.
- Develop and implement advanced project reporting and analysis tools, providing deeper insights into project performance, client satisfaction, and ROI.
- Make autonomous, critical decisions throughout the pilot project lifecycle, solving problems efficiently and effectively to keep projects on track.
- Lead the evaluation and refinement of post mortems for development of pilot methodologies and best practices, continuously improving the execution and outcomes of pilot projects.
- Serve as a mentor to junior team members, sharing knowledge, best practices, and experiences to foster team development and enhance project outcomes.
What you'll bring to the role
- 3-5 years of experience in solution selling and project management (with at least 2 years focused on managing pilot projects).
- Outstanding ability to build, maintain, and manage strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring alignment and cooperation throughout the project lifecycle.
- A thorough understanding of the sales process and solution selling.
- Advanced understanding of Geotab product suite, including Geotab Marketplace offerings and technology, and ability to develop and implement custom reports and platform customization, ensuring that the pilot project aligns with specific client requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging with customers, partners, and team members across functions and levels, and effectively conveying project goals, updates, and outcomes.
- Proven ability to navigate complex project landscapes, showcasing superior organizational skills that drive successful execution and consistently achieve desired outcomes.
- Proven experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members, enhancing team capabilities and project success.
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities, adept at navigating complex project challenges with strategic solutions.
- Deep understanding of project dynamics and innovative thinking to devise and implement strategic solutions.
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement sophisticated reporting tools, and strategic thinking to align projects with business goals.
