Reliability Manager

The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Reliability Leader, this role will oversee the implementation of all maintenance/automation and engineering long-term strategies/programs aligned with corporate asset reliability & site objectives. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operational equipment maintenance budget, management of continuous improvement initiatives, implementation of modern manufacturing principles, and oversight of staffing, training, work practices, and processes.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Develop, implement, and execute maintenance and maintenance-related strategies through Operations Excellence System (OES) principles
- Provide strategic guidance and technical direction on reliability/automation and engineering site initiatives
- Lead the development of strategies and tactics focused on reliability Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Lead and develop the reliability/automation & engineering departmental annual budgets
- Define and implement reliability/automation & engineering management processes, including documentation and change control to meet customer, regulatory, manufacturing, and purchasing requirements
- Manage third-party services supporting reliability/automation & engineering deliverables
- Coordinate and execute site capital projects through continuous improvement & equipment reliability and engineering initiatives
- Participate in recruitment and assessments through job performance of direct & indirect reports
- Participate and develop people strategies through coaching, training, & development of reliability and engineering team members
- Actively participate with the Joint Health & Safety Committee
- Lead industrial engineering in the development and maintenance of labour standards, capability studies, layouts, manning charts, mass balance assessments, and process simulations
- Promote a positive working culture through MLF core values
