Role Overview

We are seeking a SQL Analyst with strong hands-on experience in writing, optimizing, and managing SQL queries across large and complex datasets. This role will support our analytics, research, and insights teams by building high-quality data outputs, ensuring data accuracy, and enabling efficient analysis.

Experience in market research or survey programming is a plus but not mandatory - training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for data extraction, processing, and reporting.
- Work closely with internal analytics and research teams to understand data requirements and deliver analysis-ready datasets.
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation across multiple data sources.
- Support automation and standardization of recurring reporting and data workflows.
- Document SQL logic, data definitions, and process flows for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with survey programming and insights teams when needed to support dataset preparation, survey data transformations, and logic checks.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and implement query optimization techniques.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of hands-on experience working extensively with SQL.
- Strong command of advanced SQL concepts including joins, window functions, CTEs, aggregations, subqueries, and performance tuning.
- Ability to interpret database schemas, data dictionaries, and business requirements with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with structured datasets in analytics or reporting environments.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in remote environments.

Good to Have

- Experience in market research, survey programming (Decipher) or survey data processing.
- Exposure to Python or R for basic data manipulation.
- Understanding of ETL concepts and data quality frameworks.
