Overview
Job Overview: The Cashier is responsible for accurate entry of all cash, credit cards and charge account transactions on the POS terminal that he/she is assigned to.
Responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal and computer skills
- Proven working experience in retail as cashier or sales is an asset
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Customer satisfaction-oriented
- Attention to detail and mathematical skills
- Sales skills
- Action-oriented attitude, self starter and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- A background in the construction industry, as well as, retail and sales an asset
- Physically able to perform tasks that require prolonged standing, sitting and other activities that are necessary to perform job duties
- Flexibility in work schedule to meet the demands of the store and management
