Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Grassie, ON. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee cost control, prepare bills of quantities (BOQ), manage cost planning and reporting, and ensure accurate cost management throughout project lifecycles. The role involves working collaboratively with project teams, assessing financial risks, and ensuring cost efficiency and budget adherence in all construction-related activities.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Cost Control and Cost Reporting to ensure financial oversight and project adherence to budgets
- Proficiency in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed cost breakdowns
- Skills in Cost Planning and Cost Management for effective forecasting and resource allocation
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders
- Proven understanding of construction methods, contracts, and industry standards
- A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- Professional certification or membership with a relevant body (e.g., RICS, CIQS) is an asset
- Experience in the construction or engineering industry, preferably with complex projects
