This position typically involves working closely with experienced solar installers to ensure that systems are set up efficiently and safely on residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.

Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Duration: Permanent, Full-Time (will consider PT as well)
Salary: $29.00 hourly
Hours: 40 hrs/wk
Overtime: $43.50/hr (As per BC Standards – for over 8 hrs/day; 40 hrs/wk)

Language of work: English

Where: Armstrong, BC and Cranbrook, BC. Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Education and Experience Requirements:

- On-the-job training will be provided.
- Ability to:

- Handle the physical demands of the work (handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs))

- Learn & complete on job training.

- Work safely and effectively on steep roofs.

Other requirement

- Own transportation
- Willing to travel overnight
- Valid driver's licence

Job Duties

- Assist installers by preparing work sites, setting up ladders, and arranging equipment.
- Measure areas for installation
- Adjust building surfaces so panels fit and are adequately supported
- Carry solar panels, racking, tools, and other materials to and from the work area
- Hold or position materials during installation to support the technicians.
- Mix and handle sealants, fasteners, and other supplies used in solar panel mounting.
- Safely use hand tools and simple equipment under the direction of senior staff.
- Prepare, clean and organize work sites by removing debris and disposing of packaging.
- Help maintain safety on site by following instructions and wearing protective gear.
- Perform general labour tasks as needed to ensure the crew can work efficiently.

Benefits: 4% vacation pay.
