CARDIOTHORACIC RADIOLOGIST

The Department of Medical Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is seeking a fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic radiologist for a full-time position to join the Cardiac and Thoracic Imaging Sections. The candidate will serve the three campuses of The Ottawa Hospital, the core adult teaching hospital for the University of Ottawa, as well as affiliated community hospitals and ancillary programs.

As part of the Cardiac and Thoracic Imaging Sections, the successful candidate will be responsible for working collaboratively within a highly efficient team providing dedicated Cardiothoracic expertise and interpreting in- and outpatient studies. The candidate will require broad skills in all relevant modalities, including radiography, CT, and MRI. They should also have working knowledge of post-processing software including SyngoVia, CVI42, and TeraRecon. The candidate should excel at various thoracic procedures including thoracic biopsies and small-bore chest tube insertions. The successful candidate will provide consultations for the full spectrum of Cardiothoracic diseases. Skills and/or interest in scholarly activity and research are required.

They will be expected to be a supportive team player, with a strong commitment to patient care, quality improvement, research, and teaching. The successful candidate will hold certification in Diagnostic Radiology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or international equivalent.
