What Is the Opportunity?

Supports the Head Office Surety department, Head Office Surety clients, Developer Surety, US Branches and Broker Administration in accordance with the requirements of an agreed business plan.

Partner with Account Executives to provide support to Head Office and Developer Surety. Assures all related support activities are delivered in a manner consistent with business unit customer service and expense management focus.

1. Provides administrative support for members of the Bond office including reports, presentations, and other related duties as required.
2. Communicates with brokers/agencies, Canadian and US Account Executives, and internal departments (i.e., maintains authority reports, researches and resolves issues, responds to inquiries and questions).
3. Provides support for our key brokers with the issuance of broker documents including Seal Agreements, Power of Attorney and quarterly reports.
4. Issues and reconciles Bond Logs for Canadian and US Bond Numbers.
5. Ensures accurate and timely servicing and billing of accounts.
6. Manages outstanding account information and prepares general correspondence as needed.
7. Manages account documentation (i.e., bonds, endorsements, cancellations, etc.).
8. Works with Accounting in collecting outstanding premium from US Branches, US agents and Canadian Brokers.
9. Prepares documentation for monthly accounts receivables reports.
10. Prepares and submits expense reports, responsible for travel arrangements.
11. Participates in business units' staff meetings.
12. Manages calendars & scheduling/assists with coordinating of annual conferences and internal/external meetings.
13. Preparation of various broker-related reports for leadership meetings and provide analysis as required using tools available.
14. Assists with marketing responsibilities with the coordinating of product line sponsorships, memberships, donations, promotional items, print media & organizing company sponsored events, sports tickets.
15. Identifies ways to streamline processes and simplify tasks.
16. Provides technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced employees.
17. Assists with the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance reviews and performs business monitoring.
18. Navigates and understands the numerous technological systems and platforms to accurately access and input information as required.
19. Maintains accurate information and assists brokers with navigating all e-bonding platforms including Mobile Bonds, Xenex and DocuSign.
20. Provides insight and support including but not limited to: Maintenance of LoGIC, Canadian contract surety business in CSAMS, Canadian commercial surety business in CAMS.
21. Works as a liaison with Product & Platform to facilitate and test platform and/or business capability changes and enhancements.
22. Supports and provides facilitation to external brokers on business to business platforms (i.e. Broker Portal).
23. Works closely with Product & Platform to facilitate problem solving and deliver on our technical promise on 3rd party platforms.
24. Consults with Product & Platform as needed to identify opportunities to ensure consistency, efficiency and effectiveness of business capabilities across Head Office Surety, Developer Surety, and Cross-border Fronting business.
25. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

1. High School education or equivalent
2. 5 years of administrative experience
3. Advanced skill level required for software applications, including advanced database queries, Excel spreadsheets
