They provide transitional support to students with special education needs, and support staff in planning for student success. They train various staff groups on a variety of topics such as Behaviour Management Systems (BMS). QualificationsCollege diploma in Behaviour Science Technology, Developmental Service Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Social Service Worker or a comparable field.Minimum two years' experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other complex needs.Ontario Class G driver's licenseDemonstrates ability to work with a team designing and implementing intervention programs.Demonstrates ability to present information to small/large groups.Demonstrates knowledge of relevant Special Education resource tools.Has a strong understanding of school responsibility for learner progress.Proven ability to deal with confidential information in a discreet manner. Ability to take initiative and work independentlyExperience in alternative communication an asset.Strong technology skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Physical ability to be able to perform the work including possible lifting of children up to 25 kg.
