Traduire les politiques, les procédures et les documents connexes de l'anglais vers le français.
Participer à l'élaboration et à la production de politiques, de normes, de procédures et de documents justificatifs à l'échelle de l'entreprise.
Interagir avec des experts en la matière, des cadres supérieurs et des partenaires commerciaux afin de garantir la conformité avec les exigences légales et réglementaires et de produire des politiques et des communications précises et claires.
Agir en tant que traducteur français pour la gouvernance des politiques ainsi que pour d'autres unités commerciales, en convertissant des textes écrits de l'anglais vers le français ou du français vers l'anglais, en veillant à l'exactitude et à la fluidité du texte dans la langue cible.
Adapter les traductions au contexte spécifique, au public cible et à l'objectif du texte.
Contribuer à la création et à la mise à jour de glossaires et de mémoires de traduction afin d'assurer la cohérence entre les projets.
Collaborer avec d'autres traducteurs, éditeurs et parties prenantes afin de clarifier le sens et de résoudre les problèmes.
Gérer plusieurs projets de rédaction avec des délais serrés.

Respecter le guide de style interne afin de garantir la cohérence et l'alignement avec les normes stylistiques prescrites par l'entreprise.
Analyser, rédiger, réviser et publier des politiques et procédures avec un niveau exceptionnel de précision et de cohérence grammaticales et stylistiques.
Mettre à jour le guide de style interne afin d'y inclure l'usage des mots et les normes stylistiques spécifiques au français.

Formation et expérience :
Licence, de préférence avec une spécialisation en rédaction ou en communication
Plus de 3 ans d'expérience dans la documentation utilisateur, la traduction ou la rédaction technique
Excellentes compétences en communication (verbale et écrite), souci du détail, gestion du temps et sens de l'organisation
Capacité à rassembler des équipes interfonctionnelles pour répondre aux exigences en matière de documentation, y compris la création, la révision, l'approbation et la publication
Expérience de la traduction de l'anglais vers le français dans des domaines tels que la finance, la comptabilité, la fiscalité, la gestion, le marketing, les ressources humaines ou les technologies de l'information
Expérience et connaissance pratique des systèmes de gestion de contenu
Connaissance des principes de la rédaction technique
Maîtrise avancée de l'anglais et du français (ou de la combinaison linguistique spécifique)
Excellente maîtrise de la grammaire, de la syntaxe et du vocabulaire dans les deux langues
Sensibilité aux nuances culturelles et capacité à adapter le langage de manière appropriée
Connaissance des outils de traduction assistée par ordinateur et des logiciels de gestion de traduction
Maîtrise du Microsoft Manual of Style et d'autres guides de style prescrits
Excellentes capacités de résolution de problèmes et compétences en matière d'organisation et de gestion du temps, avec une capacité à mener plusieurs tâches de front de manière productive
Compétences informatiques :
Pour mener à bien cette fonction, le candidat doit maîtriser Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, ainsi que la navigation et la recherche sur Internet. Une connaissance pratique du langage HTML, de la publication assistée par ordinateur et des logiciels de traduction est souhaitable.

The Technical Writer and French Translator develops, translates, and maintains internal policies, procedures, and supporting documentation. This role collaborates closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders in various departments across the Firm to ensure content accuracy, consistency, and alignment with stylistic standards and glossaries in both French and English.
Ideal candidates have strong writing, editing, and translation skills, experience with content management, and a background in technical writing and translations. Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in both English and French are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

Client:
- Translate policies, procedures, and supporting documentation from English to French.
- Engage in the development and production of enterprise-wide policies, standards, procedures, and supporting documentation.
- Interact with subject matter experts, executives, and business partners to ensure alignment with legal and compliance requirements and produce accurate and clear policies and communications.
- Act as French translator for Policy Governance as well as other business units, converting written text from English to French or French to English, ensuring accuracy and natural flow in the target language.
- Adjust translations to suit the specific context, target audience, and intended purpose of the text.
- Contribute to and maintain glossaries and translation memories to ensure consistency across projects.
- Collaborate with other translators, editors, and stakeholders to clarify meaning and resolve issues.
- Manage multiple writing projects with tight deadlines.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on writing or communications
- 3+ years of user documentation, translation, or technical writing experience
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to bring cross functional teams together to complete documentation requirements, including creation, review, approval, and publication
- Experience translating from English to French in areas such as finance, accounting, taxation, management, marketing, human resources, or information technology
- Experience and working knowledge with content management systems
- Knowledge of technical writing principles
- High-level proficiency in both English and French (or the specific language pair)
- Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary in both languages
- Sensitivity to cultural nuances and the ability to adapt language appropriately
- Familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools and translation management software
- Expertise in Microsoft Manual of Style and other prescribed style guides
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and organizational/time management skills, with the ability to multi-task productively
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research. Working knowledge of HTML, desktop publishing, and translation software is desirable.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver’s license required. OTTIAQ certification and membership preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct reports.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Long periods of sitting while working at computer.
