Faculty and staff come together to contribute, each in their own way, to establishing ULethbridge as Canada's destination university. In 2022, Lethbridge was recognized as one of Canada's top small cities.

The University of Lethbridge Student Enrolment and Registrar Services team is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Coordinator of Orientation, Transition & Retention to join our dynamic, creative and collaborative team for a one-year term position.

The Coordinator is a full-time, one-year term position with responsibility for the development and implementation of student-focused strategies and programs to support the conversion and retention goals of the University. The Coordinator uses data to inform decision-making and program development, and works closely with experts and stakeholders from the institution and local community to provide students with a framework to succeed academically and personally. The Coordinator is also an integral part of the SEARS leadership team providing valuable input into SEARS initiatives, creative problem solving, setting strategic team direction and participating in cross-functional leadership.

The Coordinator, Orientation, Transition & Retention, is responsible for program development for all students, as well as parents and family of newly admitted students. Student needs, strategic enrolment management principles, trends in Orientation and Transition practices, data regarding student retention and progression, and student development theories will drive program development. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of event planning and execution, including budgeting, identifying sponsorship needs, booking facilities, collecting registrations, event promotion and communications, and the documentation of practices and procedures. The Coordinator will also be responsible for the recruitment, training and supervision of a team of student mentors and event volunteers.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.
