Agilus is recruiting for a Warehouse/Shop Technician in the Oil and Gas sector in Sherwood Park, Alberta. We are looking to fill multiple positions with candidates who are both capable and willing to work in both the field and their warehouse. Forklift experience is highly preferred. Start date is ASAP and the contract duration is 6 months to start (can extend further).

Responsibilities:

- The Shop Technician will assist the Shop/Inventory Manager & Mechanical Coordinator with equipment readiness and maintenance. In addition to the maintenance and readiness of the equipment, the Shop Technician will ensure that shop maintenance areas are stocked appropriately with tools, supplies, and other applicable items to ensure the mission readiness and capability of the equipment.
- Maintain inventory in an orderly manner, pull parts for various projects, and stage for shipping, load and unload trucks.
- Receive deliveries, reconcile returns against original shipping documents, and deliver equipment to sites.
- Restock components upon return from projects and perform preventative maintenance of equipment.
- Inspect equipment before and after each project, completing minor repairs of equipment.

Requirements:

- Ability to operate a forklift is highly preferred; ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to organize and maintain regional repair shops to provide for timely and effective repairs of the equipment; primary knowledge of the variety of fittings, valves, pipe, other rental equipment, and the fabrication of threaded piping assemblies.
- Ability to learn and understand more extensive knowledge of mechanical equipment and pipe work; familiar and comfortable working with a computer.
- Acceptable experience and training, and documented mechanical aptitude or formal mechanical education; Forklift Operator training preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
- D&A Test, Criminal Check, and Driver's Abstract will be required during onboarding.
- At industrial sites and in the shop environment, one may be required to carry equipment (up to 40 pounds), climb stairs, and ladders.
