Job Types: Part-time and full-time roles available with the option of a 4-day or 3-day work week.

Salary: $80,000-$102,000.00 per year.

Work setting: Center-based.

As an Occupational Therapist (OT) on our team, you are responsible for developing programs that enable individuals to participate, to their fullest level, in activities that occupy their daily lives. Your client-base will consist of children (ages 2-18) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Take an inside look at what you will do each day:

- Assess client needs and family priorities as part of an interdisciplinary team.

- Complete assessments using tools such as standardized tests, criterion or curriculum referenced materials, or checklists.

- Develop and implement a treatment plan for each client, based on assessment results.

- Develop reports as required.

- Consult to Behaviour Analysts who supervise Applied Behaviour Analysis Programs for Children with ASD and other needs.

- Work collaboratively with the family and other community professionals.

- Maintain knowledge in current evidence-based practices.

- Collect data and make evidenced-based decisions in treatment.

- Supervise students pursuing education in Occupational Therapy.

- Represent OT department in Monarch House by contributing to clinical policies and procedures and other centre-wide visions.

Here is what you will need to be successful:

- At least 1 year of experience working with children with ASD.

- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT).

- Experience and familiarity with assessment tools (standardized tests, etc.).

- Knowledge of current research and literature in the Occupational Therapy (OT) field.

- Member of COTBC / COTO / ACOT or eligible to apply.

- Must be authorized to work in Canada.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to take initiative.

- Flexibility in scheduling clients.
