Calgary Head Office Department: Engineering, Drafting & Field Engineering Reports to: Manager, Engineering Worker Type: Student Schedule Type: Full-time Work Setting: In-office Trans Mountain is seeking a motivated, collaborative, and values-driven Electrical Engineering Co-op Student for a 12‑month term. In this role, you will work alongside Electrical Engineering Project Managers and Engineers, supporting the delivery of sustaining capital, growth, maintenance, and reliability projects across our operations. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain practical project engineering experience through involvement in construction documentation, schedule and cost management, technical drawing reviews, field inspections, and project execution activities. You will also develop a strong understanding of operational processes and safety practices within a dynamic engineering environment. This position is based in our Calgary office and will report to the Manager, Engineering. Duration: January 11, 2027, to December 18, 2027.

Key Responsibilities
- Support Electrical Engineering Project Managers and Engineers in the delivery of sustaining capital, growth, maintenance, and reliability improvement projects.
- Assist with project management activities, including preparing and reviewing construction documentation, tracking project schedules and costs, participating in project planning and execution meetings, and supporting field visits as required.
- Review engineering drawings, research and prepare responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical inquiries, support the implementation of safety processes and requirements, and contribute to other projects and initiatives within the Projects Engineering team as needed. Qualifications And Professional Experience
- Must be enrolled in an Engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution, preferably Electrical Engineering students entering third year or higher.
- Enrollment in your institution's co-op program is a requirement.
- Proficiency with data analysis and database administration, with the ability to research technical information and support project documentation.
- Previous experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A consistent track record of delivering high‑quality work, managing competing priorities, and supporting key business processes or operational functions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and levels across the organization.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly, respectfully, and professionally.
- Commitment to inclusive practices and a willingness to contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive workplace culture. Working Conditions
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10% of the time for site visits and project-related activities.
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and be able to drive a rental vehicle during site visits, as required. The expected pay range for this position is $26.95 to $36.74 CAD per hour.
