Join theWindfall adventure Your new role Reporting tothe Deputy Project Director, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible forestablishing a quality assurance program for the Windfall mining project andensuring its execution. This person ensures that all systems, equipment,buildings, and documents related to construction and equipment suppliers meetquality standards as well as regulatory and contractual requirements prior totheir acceptance, transfer, or commissioning. This role provides independentoversight by Gold Fields of the QA/QC performance of the engineering firms, theEPCM firm, and the contractors. Main Responsibilities - Provide guidance on inspection andtest plans, and approve inspection and test plans, quality plans, andquality management plans. - Work closely with the EPCM firm inorder to: - Ensure the review and approval of the EPCM firm’s quality program and QualitySurveillance Plan (QSP). - Lead the review and acceptance of quality deliverables from contractors andsuppliers (check sheets, test reports, certificates). - Monitorand validate the compliance of engineering firms’ and contractors’ work withquality requirements. - Reviewand approve non-conformance reports and deviation requests that may affect thelong‑term reliability of the asset. - Reviewturnover packages prior to mechanical completion. - Participatein or lead on‑site quality inspections, hold points, and QA walkthroughs. - Ensure that QA practices complywith current standards, CNESST regulations, and Gold Fields’ internalstandards. - Report on quality performance tothe Gold Fields project management team.
