ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY

As a Service Project Supervisor, you will be responsible for working with the operations team and field staff to ensure we exceed our clients’ expectations. This role will be focused on development and management of project opportunities within the service group. As a member of the Service team, you will work with our clients to help them achieve their business objectives and assist in the development of long‑term client relationships with Black & McDonald.

This position involves:

- The ability to understand client requirements and provide short‑ and long‑term solutions for them.

- Responsible for promoting and adhering to the companies’ high standards of safety to employees and subcontractors

- Maintaining and enhancing client relationships through ongoing business development

- The skill to qualify opportunities, negotiate client needs and gain commitment

- Estimating and designing effective project opportunities in competitive situations.

- Developing presentations and accepting agreements on behalf of Black & McDonald

- Completing concise reporting of sales backlog, sales plan activity and monthly results

- Possessing a desire for continued personal and professional development

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- A university degree or college diploma in business, engineering or related field experience; qualified tradesperson with several years’ experience and previous management experience is acceptable.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- 5 years’ experience in Commercial and Industrial mechanical systems, and/or in a technical occupation related to HVAC.

- Building Automation controls experience is an asset.

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills

- Availability to travel from time to time as required

- Competency in computer skills including Microsoft Office applications

- Communicate effectively and be innovative in the solving of client problems
