Join Our Team at Lakeland Catholic School DivisionFAMILY OUTREACH WORKER (FOW)Part-Time (0.60 FTE - 3 Days per Week)Assumption Junior Senior High School | Cold Lake, AlbertaLakeland Catholic School Division is seeking a part-time Family Outreach Worker (FOW) to support Assumption Junior Senior High School in Cold Lake, Alberta.Serving students in Grades 7 to 12, this position requires a compassionate, student-centred professional who is committed to supporting student well-being, strengthening family-school connections, and addressing barriers to learning. The Family Outreach Worker works collaboratively with school staff, families, and community partners to promote positive outcomes for students within a Catholic educational setting.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide direct support to students and families to promote attendance, engagement, and overall well-beingBuild and maintain positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and community partnersSupport students with social-emotional regulation, coping strategies, and problem-solving skillsAssist families in accessing community resources and external support servicesCollaborate with school administration, teachers, and student support teamsParticipate in meetings, case planning, and coordinated support effortsMaintain appropriate documentation and confidentiality in accordance with division expectationsSupport student behaviour expectations, safety, and respectful conductContribute to the effective operation and positive image of the school and the divisionAssist with school-based initiatives, meetings, and events as requiredUphold and support the mission and values of Catholic educationREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSDiploma or degree in Social Work, Human Services, Child and Youth Care, or a related fieldExperience working with children, youth, and families in a school or community-based setting preferredStrong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamCommitment to student well-being and inclusive support practicesAlignment with the mission and values of Catholic educationADDITIONAL ASSETSMaster of Social Work or related graduate degreeKnowledge of community-based services and referral processesExperience supporting students with social, emotional, or behavioural needsAbility to build trust with students and familiesFrench language skills are considered an asset but are not requiredHOW TO APPLYApplications for this posting will be accepted through ApplytoEducation.com or via email to kcollins@lrcssd.ca.
