Senior Associate, Corporate Development (12 month Contract) At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world. The Corporate Development Office (CDO) Acquisitions team is responsible for driving the firm’s growth strategy through targeted acquisitions. Acting as an internal advisory and execution arm, the team sources potential targets, conducts comprehensive due diligence, leads valuations, manages transactions, and steers post‑deal integration. The team collaborates closely with senior leadership and business unit leaders to identify and execute strategic opportunities that align with the firm’s long‑term goals. As a CDO M&A Specialist, you will play a critical support role across all stages of the M&A lifecycle, contributing research, analysis, and project coordination that enables informed decision‑making and execution excellence. What You Will Do Conduct market research and deal sourcing support, including industry and competitor research, screening acquisition targets, and synthesizing findings for leadership. Build and update basic financial models, assist with valuation benchmarking, and prepare preliminary deal analysis. Coordinate due diligence by tracking document flow, organizing requests and responses, and supporting issue tracking. Provide project management support, including managing meeting calendars, updating deal pipelines, and assisting in driving accountability across workstreams. Prepare leadership materials such as executive summaries, investment memos, and diligence reports. Assist with early‑stage integration tracking and reporting on Day 1 activities. What You Bring To The Role Post‑secondary education in Commerce, Business, Finance, or a related field. 1‑3 years of experience in corporate finance, transaction advisory, consulting, or similar fields. Proficiency in financial modeling, research, and project coordination. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. Professional designation (CPA, CFA Level 1+) is an asset. Formal M&A coursework is an asset. This position requires written and oral fluency in English. KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $62,000 to $93,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
