Join Our Team at Lakeland Catholic School DivisionStudent Assistant (Educational Assistant)Full-Time (1.0 FTE) | Assumption Junior Senior High SchoolCold Lake, Alberta | 2025-2026 School YearLakeland Catholic School Division is currently seeking a full-time Student Assistant to support students at Assumption Junior Senior High School in Cold Lake, AB for the 2025-2026 school year.Serving students from Grades 7 to 12, this position requires a skilled and compassionate professional with a strong background in supporting adolescents-particularly those with behavioural needs, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or other complex challenges.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs in classroom and individual settingsImplement behavioural support strategies aligned with student support plansAssist with emotional regulation, engagement, and independence skillsWork collaboratively with teachers and inclusive education teams in a Catholic school settingMaintain student dignity and a safe, respectful learning environment.Required Qualifications:Minimum Level 1 Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification or willingness to obtain (Level 2 or 3 preferred)Demonstrated experience supporting students with complex learning needsStrong working knowledge of behavioural strategies and intervention techniquesAbility to maintain professionalism and emotional regulation in dynamic situationsAlignment with the values and mission of Catholic education.Additional Assets:NVCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention), First Aid, or similar certification (or willingness to obtain)Familiarity with assistive tech and alternative learning toolsStrong interpersonal, documentation, and teamwork skillsFrench language skills are considered an asset, but are not required for this positionHow to ApplyApplications for this posting will be accepted through ApplytoEducation.com or via email to .
