Trestle Brewing Company is a small craft brewery & kitchen located on the waterfront in beautiful Parry Sound on the shores of Georgian Bay. Our brewery has one of the best locations in Ontario, featuring an incredible riverside Patio, Biergarten, Taproom, and Retail Store. Trestle is a destination for visitors to the area as well as a hub for the local community and events. Our menu is Feast ON certified by the Ontario Culinary Alliance, focusing on fresh, local ingredients and incorporating our beer wherever possible. Each year, we serve around 100,000 guests onsite.

We are seeking highly skilled, friendly, and hardworking individuals to be a key part of the Trestle Team and contribute to our success.

About The Job

We are hiring for seasonal positions with start dates this spring/summer.

A Retail Specialist at Trestle is the face of our retail store, welcoming guests and ensuring they have an exceptional shopping experience while learning about our products and what makes us special. You’ll help customers find the perfect beer, merchandise, and take-home items while providing knowledgeable recommendations and friendly service. This role is fast-paced and customer-focused, with opportunities to expand into other areas of the team.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Retail Specialistwill include:

- Greeting and providing exceptional service to all brewery guests
- Guiding customers through our beer selection, merchandise, and take-home products
- Educating guests on our beer, brand, and story to enhance their shopping experience
- Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system for purchases
- Managing stock levels, restocking shelves, and organizing displays
- Keeping the retail area clean, tidy, and visually appealing
- Assisting with online orders, packaging, and fulfillment
- Handling cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
- Assisting guests in the Taproom and Biergarten as needed
- Supporting Trestle’s marketing and social media efforts by contributing content and ideas

Your responsibilities may also include:

- Assisting with off-site events and pop-ups
- Opening and closing duties for the Retail Store and Taproom
- Supporting the Front of House team when required

Qualifications

- Must be available to work a rotating schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Smart Serve Certification is required
- Retail experience and knowledge of craft beer are considered strong assets

- Energetic, outgoing, and personable with strong communication skills
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable with POS systems, cash handling, and inventory management
- Able to lift and carry heavy objects (beer cases, kegs, etc.) when needed
- Willing to learn and share knowledge about our beer and brewery
