What you'll do

- Deliver Exceptional Service: Be the primary contact for property loss claims, guiding customers through policy entitlements and claims processes.
- Empathetic Support: Proactively address customer needs, building trusted relationships and balancing customer and business outcomes.
- Claims Management: Set strategies, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage claims costs while ensuring timely, quality outcomes.
- Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to policies, regulations, and the General Insurance Code of Practice.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements, support team development, and ensure financial compliance with policy scope and authority limits.

What you'll bring

- Minimum 2 years' customer service experience, with 1-3 years in general insurance (preferred).
- Knowledge of claims processes and general insurance products (preferred).
- Resilient and caring mindset to manage complex and emotionally demanding situations, including vulnerable customers.
- Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and knowledge of relevant insurance legislation.
- Computer literacy and ability to navigate new systems and platforms.

What we can offer you

- Full Time Hours: Minimum 6-month contract with full-time hours, working Monday to Friday on rotating shifts between 8am - 7pm.
- Competitive Salary: $76,400 per year inclusive of 11.5% superannuation.
- Work from home: 100% remote role (within Northern Rivers area).

- Ergonomic setup with desk and chair in a quiet, private space.
- Suncorp will supply a laptop that will need to be collected from the office on day one.
