Cisco Network Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cisco Network Specialist with expertise in Cisco enterprise networking to design and review technical training content. The ideal candidate should possess deep technical knowledge in Cisco enterprise networking to effectively design and develop labs for training purposes.
Location: Remote Canada and US
Employment Type: Regular Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and schedule technology updates to keep the team current with new technology and technology roadmaps.
- Design and ensure the technical accuracy of training materials, including lab development.
- Review and approve technical content, rather than authoring it.
- Support the development and modification of education products, assessments, exercises, learning products, and courses as assigned.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cisco's product lines and solutions to design comprehensive technical content.
- Develop lab environments and network topologies to support technical training delivery.
- Provide technical expertise in Cisco Enterprise Networking and Wireless Technologies.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and SMEs to enhance learning experiences.
- Participate in project close, post-mortem, and final cost, controls, and metrics reporting.
- Stay updated on the latest Cisco networking advancements and incorporate them into training programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience in a production support or break/fix environment with Cisco infrastructure.
- Certifications: CCIE Enterprise and/or Routing & Switching (Lab Certified) (Mandatory)
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Networking and Wireless Technologies.
- Familiarity with Cisco solutions, including Meraki, SD-WAN, DNA Center, Catalyst switches, SDA, Thousand Eyes, Full Stack Observability, and Catalyst Center.
- Lab Design & Topology Creation: Ability to design complex network topologies for training purposes.
Software Proficiency:
- Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to learn additional development software as needed.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Experience in technical video content creation.
- Basic knowledge of VMware and automation scripting for lab development.
- Cisco Certified Systems Instructor (CCSI).
