Literacy Program AssistantRequired for St. Paul EducationSt. Paul Education is hiring a full-time temporary Literacy Program Assistant to work collaboratively with our Literacy Intervention Team, commencing immediately until April 1, 2026, with the possibility of an extension. This position will involve providing targeted literacy programs, creating resources, and working within the school environment at assigned schools. Duties of the Literacy Program Assistant may include: Implementing programs/strategies with specific children and/or groups of children Documenting and reporting on student progress and response to current programs/strategiesWorking collaboratively with other literacy team members Presenting universal programming in front of a classroom or small group settingUsing screening tools to determine the levels of need of studentsOther Duties as assigned by the Literacy ConsultantAll duties are under the direction or supervision of the Literacy Consultant or Director of Inclusive Education and Early LearningThe successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills:Strong knowledge base in literacyCollaborative natureEfficient and comfortable with the use of technology (Google, iPad)Willingness to learn Problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication skillsA compassionate and resilient personalityStrong organizational skills Valid driver's licenseKnowledge of the Acadience Reading program would be considered an assetThe ability to speak French would be considered an assetFor more information, please contact Ms. Sha Tichkowsky, Director of Inclusive Ed & Early Learning at 780-645-3323.Qualified persons wishing to be considered for this position are invited to complete an online portfolio at by 12:30 p.m., Monday January 12, 2026.In accordance with Board policy, the successful applicant will be required to prove a current Criminal Record - Vulnerable Sector Check and Alberta Children's Intervention Check.We thank you for your interest, however, only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
