Are you passionate about technology and working for a company that values their employees?

We are looking for a knowledgeable and client-facing Intermediate Citrix and Virtualization Consultant for our Calgary branch to support our client with designing, implementing and upgrading various Citrix and virtualization technologies You will also have sufficient technical depth to work with other virtualization, server and storage technologies.

A Day in the Life:

- Provide senior technical support for all server infrastructure components (hardware, software, OS, firmware, network, cloud infrastructure)

- Consult with users and evaluate requirements, recommend designs, provide cost analysis, plan projects, and coordinate tasks for projects

- Work with teammates to design and implement complex solutions

- Installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades of servers, with a focus on utilizing technology to achieve business objectives

- Act as Tier 3 escalation point for service desk

- Perform incidents root cause analysis and identify work around or fix

What You Bring:

- 5+ years of working experience within an Enterprise environment, supporting diverse IT Infrastructure platforms

- 3+ years of hands‑on technical working experience with the Citrix ecosystem, including XenApp, XenDesktop, Delivery Controllers, StoreFront Servers, Citrix Gateways and Profile management with FSLogix

- Technical knowledge with 4+ years of experience in Windows and Red Hat Linux Server operating systems in an enterprise environment

- 3+ years of hands‑on technical working experience with the architectural and/or deployment and/or operational support of VMware vSphere Hypervisor/ESXi

- Experience in an Airline setting considered an asset

- Experience with scripting and automation skills (VMware PowerCLI, Terraform, Bash, PowerShell Puppet, and/or Ansible).

- Requires advanced problem‑solving, interpersonal and communication skills

- Proficient in managing service components to ensure they meet business needs and performance target

- Incident and problem management skills

- Excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple items

- Willingness to learn related technology and business process

- Ability to determine root cause from outcomes

What Makes You Extra Awesome:

- Experience with Citrix Netscaler

- Application Virtualization experience (App-V or Citrix App Layering)

$60,835 - $79,847 a year

Expected pay range plus 10% variable incentives
