About the program
The Master of Arts in Applied Social Psychology is designed to provide an integrated, comprehensive curriculum to prepare graduates for careers requiring extensive knowledge and expertise in the complex interplay between social factors and human behavior. This program examines how social influences, social perception, and social interaction influence the mental health and well‑being of individuals, groups and communities.
Sessional Instructor:
Term 3 July 6, 2026 - September 20, 2026
Per course rate: $7,200 (paid in installments)
The program of Master of Arts in Applied Social Psychology has the following Sessional Instructional positions available for the academic terms 2 and 3 and invites applications from suitably qualified candidates.
Course titles:
- Social Influences on Health and Well Being
- Interpersonal Relationships and Group Dynamics
- Implicit Bias and Prejudice
- Research Methods for Social Psychology
Mode of Delivery: Asynchronous Online (April 2026 and July 2026 terms)
Sessional Instructors will perform the following duties:
- Attend weekly lecture, review lecture material
- Lecture and teach students in a variety of delivery modes, creating an inclusive learning environment
- Invigilate quizzes, tests & exams, complete grading of quizzes, tests, assignments & exams
- Meet with or respond to students’ inquiries during office hours
- Update material and grades on internal software
The successful candidate will have the following education and experience:
- Digitally and technologically oriented – comfortable with a variety of technologies and teaching delivery methods
- Strong academic standing in similar courses and demonstrated expertise in the subject
- PhD in a related discipline is required
- Innovative and engaging teaching/communication style
- Previous teaching experience at the graduate level is a significant asset
- Related industry experience and expertise to enhance student learning through real life scenarios and case studies
